Copyright and sharing - do your homework!

Alright everyone, I have to set some things clear:

I received some rare emails about diaperpin is infringing rights, ignores copyrights etc. I always try to proof the requests to take down pictures as requested, but almost all the time there is no way to do as requested. The reason is quite simple as nice: You do not own all the rights of your pictures anymore when you post them on tumblr, facebook or any other website!

Here is a short backstory:
Someone takes a pic: s/he owns every right possible on his/her pic. You do own all the rights as long as you don't give it to someone else. As of this - by the time you upload a pic to tumblr or any other website YOU DO NOT OWN, you give them some rights on your picture - mostly using rights without any restrictions. As of this fact, you only own the copyright on your pic - but not the rights for using it. (You can't give someone a copyright, this would always belong to you, but you can give everything else) Therefore, you can't claim someone to take down a pic from the point you shared this pic by yourself.

If you think diaperpin infringes rights on your pictures, feel free to send me an email (supaberni@gmail.com) and I will get into that. But I will have to check the case, especially to check if it is really your pic. So I will need some details about the picture, I need to know who you are and how you think that picture got on the way to the internet.

In the meantime - READ THE FU**ING TERMS OF USE where you put your pics on!

You are completely and utterly wrong on practically everything that matters here.

This is BS: "You do not own all the rights of your pictures anymore when you post them on tumblr, facebook or any other website!". For Tumblr and Facebook you retain the rights and ownership of the content (https://www.facebook.com/leg..., https://www.tumblr.com/polic...). Hell its VERY clear: "You retain ownership you have of any intellectual property you post to Tumblr."

This is WRONG: "You can't give someone a copyright, this would always belong to you, but you can give everything else"

This is WRONG: "Therefore, you can't claim someone to take down a pic from the point you shared this pic by yourself."
